Angela Marguerite Salem (born July 24 1988) is an American professional soccer midfielder who plays for the Portland Thorns of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). In 2016-17, she was a player with the Boston Breakers. She was previously a player in the Washington Spirit in the NWSL and in the Newcastle Jets in the Australian W-League as well as The Atlanta Beat and Sky Blue FC in the Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) league, Western New York Flash in the NWSL and Aland United of the Finnish soccer club Aland United of the Naisten Liiga.

In 2011, Salem was a player with Aland United, a Finnish club that is part of the highest national women’s league, known as the Naisten Liiga.

Salem appeared in all 16 matches for the Western New York Flash in the 2012 WPSL Elite season. She helped the team to its third consecutive championship, scoring the game-winning penalty kick after double overtime in the championship game against the Chicago Red Stars.

In 2013, Salem signed with the Western New York Flash for the inaugural season of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

In 2011, Salem was also a part of The Atlanta Beat in the WPS. She played in nine of 11 matches she took part in.
