Andi Amran Sulaiman (born 27 April 1968) is an Indonesian businessman and former Minister of Agriculture He was a minister in Joko Widodo’s Working Cabinet from 27 October 2014 to 23 October. Prior to his appointment as minister, he was head of Tiran Group which was a Makassar-based business conglomerate that operated predominantly within Eastern Indonesia making him the richest minister to be appointed to the cabinet of the future.

He got married Martati and they have four children, all with Andi as their first name. According to genealogy records Sulaiman is an ancestor cousin of the 22nd King of Bone.

His brother Andi Sudirman Sulaiman was elected vice governor of South Sulawesi in the 2018 election, as a deputy of Nurdin Abdullah.

After graduating Sulaiman began working for at the Indonesian National Agricultural Company or PTPN (more specifically, PTPN XIV). He started his career as a director of field operations at a sugar plant in the year 1994. He was promoted four times over the first six years of the company. His highest position was the head of logistics. He quit within 15 years. Then, he started his own company. It began with his patent for the poisoning of rats (named “Tiran” as an abbreviation of Tikus diracun amran i.e. Amran poisons rodents) and rapidly grew to include 10 companies, with annual revenue of around 1 billion dollars by 2014. He was awarded a civil prize of Satyalencana Pembangunan in 2007 from Indonesian the president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in 2007.
