Alizanda was named the new national representative team’s replacement for Yunos Yusof, who had retired from the Malaysia Cup in the previous year. As Brunei was relegated, he was replaced by Jefry Mohammad (and Ibrahim Abu Bakar) and in the next season he competed against Wardun Yussof to be the goalkeeper. Brunei had just begun life in Malaysia’s Premier Two. He played domestically for the MS ABDB football team of Royal Brunei Armed Forces. In 2002, he made an appearance for his future club DPMM FC at the AFC Champions League against Geylang FC. He would later meet Wardun in the final Brunei FA Cup competition. However, Wardun conceded to a Norsillmy Taka strike in the 30th minute for Wijaya FC to win.
Alizanda was immediately transferred to the royally-owned club when DPMM took over Brunei’s place in the Malaysia Premier League. Wardun was Wardun’s second fiddle, but he promoted him to the Malaysia Super League through DPMM. After Azman Ilham Noor, NBT FC’s signing by DPMM, he was released.
