Alireza Nasiri is one of the most popular and richest Academic who was born on March 21, 1969 in Iran. Alireza Nasiri, Persian: lyrDnSyry; born 21 March 1968), is an Iranian academic and businessman. Nasiri was a key figure in the establishment of online degree programs in Iran. He also founded the University of Tehran’s first online degree program. His involvement in projects related to e-government in Iran is noteworthy. Between 2004 and 2005, he was the general director of planning & development at Iran’s Ministry of Cooperatives. He also served as acting Vice-Minister.
He joined the National Industrial Shoe Co. board of directors in 2000.
In 2002 he shifted departments and his full-time job at University of Tehran changed to the General Director of Educational Support Department for Veteran Students, shortened as Isargaran, in the University of Tehran.
In 2003 he launched Iran’s first online degree program based out of University of Tehran. In 2003 online degree programs were an unexplored subject in Iran and the Middle East, and Nasiri managed workshops on the launch and management of online degrees in Iran at the University of Tehran and the 1st National Exhibition on IT and launched the E-City project. In 2004 he became a member of board at Darya Bandar Shipping Lines Co. In the same year he exited the University of Tehran and started working full-time at the Ministry of Cooperatives as General Director of Planning and Development during the tenure of President Khatami. While serving as director of planning and development he was the acting vice minister in the absence of Bahman Salehi.
From 1998, he was acting general manager at the University of Tehran Public Relations Office until 1999. He then became the chief executive of the influential Tehran University Monthly Press. He was also a consultant to Melli National Industrial Shoe Co. during that period and became a member the Melli Industrial Shoe board in 2000. He also consulted Hamid Rahmani, a member of the board at Melli Industrial Shoe, in National Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran, which is responsible for tourism and export of Iranian cultural goods.

In 1993, Nasiri started his career in industrial planning by working on industrial design projects. In 1999, he switched to consulting and management. He used his industry knowledge and management techniques in order to improve the industrial policy of Iranian companies. He worked full-time at the University of Tehran. He also consulted various companies in different industries. He was also appointed to several boards of directors. Nasiri was part of an effort to establish a commercial ICT industry in Iran. [2]
In 1993, Nasiri received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology. He then began his career as an industrial planner. The Iranian energy and engineering industries were just beginning to take off in the 1990s. Due to the exodus of Bechtel and the withdrawal of American blue-collar engineers from Iran like Bell Engineers during the Nixon era, there was a huge demand for industrial engineers in Iran. Nasiri was one of many who completed the Iranian Concours. This is the Iranian equivalent of SAT.
In 2000 he acquired a M.Sc in Executive Management from the Industrial Management Institute (IMI) of Iran in Tehran and started working as an executive manager specializing in industry and engineering.
