Djurovic did not want to become politically involved. He left Serbia in 2002 to move to Rome where he studied at the Institutum Patristicum Augustinianum, Pontifical Lateran University. He obtained a license as a theologist and patristic scientist in January 2007.

Djurovic’s first years were marked by his exploration of various painting and graphic techniques. Djurovic’s range of techniques is extensive. In 1995, he graduated from the Theological Faculty of the Serbian Orthodox Church of Belgrade. Dobrivoje Miic, the Bishop of Pozarevac-Branicevo and Ignatius, was a disciple of John Zizioulas as well as “revolutionary” Greek Theologians. 1996. He published his thesis the same year. President of the Institute, Dodaro, said that he would try to apply an innovative research method present in this thesis in future doctoral researches.
