Zari Hassan is one of the most popular and richest Pop Singer who was born on September 23, 1980 in Uganda. Her prolific singing career across Africa is her greatest achievement. She was awarded the Channel O Music Video Award 2008 for East African Artists of the Year.

She was born in Jinja, Uganda and raised there. She is the mother of four children. From 2001 to 2013, she married Ivan Semwanga, her first husband. In 2017, he tragically died in a coma.
