Savicheva was conceived on 14 February 1987. Born into a musical family in Kurgan, east of the Ural Mountains, Savicheva was raised. Numerous Russian music producers and songwriters were frequent visitors to her parents’ home. Yulia’s father, an avid pianist, would often compose songs for her to sing. This would later be the beginning of Yulia’s singing career.

Yulia took part in World’s Best in March 2004. Russia had just finished the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with 11 top songs. The song was also pre- qualified for final. It was the fourteenth performance of her song “Believe Me”, which she came eleventh in. Vysoko was her first album. Yulia returned to host the show later.
