Yu Jing is a Chinese long track speed-skater, pinyin Yu Jing and Mandarin pronunciation: [ytciNG]; she was born 29 May 1985. In 2012, she was the World Sprint Champion and set world records in the sprint combination as well as the 500m. Heather Richardson held the sprint combination world record until she beat it in January 2013. Lee Sang-hwa set the world record for 500 metres in November 2013. This time of 36.94 seconds was the Chinese record, until it was broken by Wang Beixing, November 2013.

Yu started to dominate the 500 m race when the World Cup circuit began again in fall 2011. Each time she won by a margin of over 0.4 seconds, Yu was victorious in both races. She also won the 500 m races in Heerenveen, but missed the second meeting in Astana. She also took second in the 1000m.

Her second season at the top was less successful than her first. She struggled to replicate the World Cup results and was not even close to the podium at the end. Yu placed 6th at the 2010 World Sprint Championships held in Obihiro. Yu was also a representative of China at the 2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver. However, he finished 32nd in 1000 m.
