Sweid was the son of an Arab-Christian family and was born in Haifa (Israel). He graduated from Tel Aviv University’s theater department. His first stage in theater was when he joined Jaffa’s Arab-Hebrew Theater. He participated in several television shows, including Dancing again tonight (1991), Lane of White Chairs (1996 Acre Festival winner), Oh Brother Boom Boom Boom (2003 Haifa festival winner for children’s programming), Dragon (2004) and Immigrants (2006).
Sweid was also a part of the international production The Time That We Didn’t Know Anything About One Another and the dance production Barefoot. He was appointed director of Ramallah’s community theater program in 2001 for both Arabs as well as Jews.
In 2016 he joined the HBO series Game of Thrones in Season 6 as a Meereenese freedman.
