He was a Major League Baseball (MLB), pitcher for the Florida Marlins as well as the Detroit Tigers and Houston Astros.
Bazardo was assigned by the Mariners to Double-A San Antonio Missions, where he went 3-1 and had a 4.28 ERA. After going 6-5 and posting a 3.64 ERA over 25 games, he was named Missions pitcher-of-the-year in 2006. He was also selected to the Texas League post-season all-star team. Bazardo was 2-0 in Venezuelan Winter League with a 1.78 and pitched six shutout innings during the Caribbean World Series. After acquiring veteran pitcher Jeff Weaver, the Mariners added Bazardo on their 40-man roster. However, they designated him for assignment. Bazardo was traded to the Mariners by the Mariners for Jeff Frazier, an outfielder.
Bazardo began the 2008 season with the Tigers, but was designated for assignment after giving up eight runs over three innings in three appearances. After clearing waivers Bazardo rejoined the Mud Hens. He became a free agent at the end of the season.
On January 7, 2009, Bazardo signed a minor league contract with the Houston Astros. Assigned to their AAA affiliate, the Round Rock Express, Bazardo was named a Pacific Coast League midseason All-Star. On August 8, the Astros purchased Bazardo’s contract, and he pitched in ten games for Houston through the end of the season, making six starts. He pitched in the minors for Houston in 2010 before becoming a free agent.
Bazardo was sent by the Tigers to Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens, where he spent the majority of 2007 season. He posted a record of 10-6 with an ERA 3.75. Bazardo was called up multiple times by the Tigers in 2007 to replace the injured Tigers. He posted a 2-1 record and a 2.38 ERA in 11 games.

Bazardo was a Venezuelan youth league player growing up. One of his rivals was Miguel Cabrera, a future MLB teammate. Bazardo was signed by the Florida Marlins as an undrafted agent in 2000. He played in his first season with the organization in 2001 for the then-defunct VSL Marlins of the Venezuelan Summer League. He went 7-2 and had a 2.43 earned run ERA. In 2002, the Marlins promoted him to single-A Jamestown Jammers. He posted a 5-0 record and a 2.72 ERA with six saves. He was promoted to single-A Greensboro Bats in 2003 and used primarily as an starting pitcher. He had a mixed record of 9-8, but his ERA was still low at 3.12. He allowed only two runs in eight innings against the Hagerstown Suns in August, a typical performance. It was a 2-0 loss.
Bazardo was with the single-A Jupiter Hammerheads in 2004, where he went 5-9 and a 3.27 ERA. He also suffered from a lack run support and frequent errors that allowed for unearned runs to score. Bazardo was added to the Marlins’ 40-man roster at the end of 2004. Bazardo was also invited to spring training 2005 by the Marlins. However, he didn’t make it and was optioned for the double-A Carolina Mudcats. Bazardo was selected by the Marlins as a replacement for Logan Kensing, a struggling relief pitcher.
