Yitzhak Cohen is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on October 2, 1951 in Ashkelon, Southern District, Israel. Rabbi Yitzhak Cohen, Hebrew: yiTSHak KHahn – born 2 October 1951 in Israel) is an Israeli politician. He has been a member since 1996 of the Knesset For Shas.

After being placed third on Shas’s list, he retained his seat in 2009 elections. Instead of becoming Deputy Finance Minister, he lost his cabinet portfolio. In 2013, he was reelected, but Shas were expelled from the government. He was re-elected six times in 2015. In 2015, he was re-elected to the position of Deputy Minister for Finance in the new government. Under the Norwegian Law, he was forced to give up his seat at the Knesset in February

2018. He was replaced by Danny Saida. He was nominated in January 2020 to be the Minister of Construction and Housing. However, he withdrew from his nomination when it was placed on hold.

He criticized the US report in 2007 that Iran had stopped its nuke program in 2003. He claimed that the US report had been “ordered” by someone who wanted dialogue with Tehran. He said that the report was similar to US intelligence during World War Two, which claimed there were trains heading to concentration camps. They also said they were being used to industrial purposes. Cohen threatened to suspend all relations with the Vatican after the excommunication of Richard Williamson, a controversial bishop, was lifted in a 2009 interview with Spiegel.
