Yishai Levi is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on January 20, 1963 in Rosh HaAyin, Central District, Israel. Yishay Levi, also known as Ishay Levi (Hebrew ySHylvy; born January 20, 1963 in Rosh haAyin, Israel), is an Israeli musician and one of the most important artists in Mizrahi music.

He released the 1995 album Bat almavet (“Immortal”) in 1995. Except for the title song, the entire album consisted of Boaz Sharabi covers. Levi’s popularity began to decline again after this album failed. In 1997, Levi released Ha-emuna (“The Belief”), which saved his singing career with the hit song “Taltalim Shorim”.

At the end of 2000, Levi was sent to jail because he broke into the apartment of his neighbor to steal electrical appliances so he could sell them to buy drugs. He was released from jail in 2003.

In 2004, Levi published the album Nativ yisorii (Route of My Suffering). After this album, Levi did a show dedicated to his wife called Ani shar lach Iris (I Sing for You, Iris). Levi was returned to jail after setting his wife’s house on fire, apparently because she was not giving him money for drugs. He was released from this jail sentence in 2006.

His drug addiction caused Levi’s career to fade between 1988 and 1991. He released the 1992 album Lehat’chil Mibereshit (“To Start from the Beginning”) with the hits “Rikdi”, which was one of the most popular hits in Mizrahi Music, and “Mona.” Levi later released the albums Ha’elam hamudot in 1993 and Mabit mehatzad in 1994. These albums were less successful but produced two hits, “Ha elam hamudot” and “Mi lo tomar.”

Levi was born to a family of Yemenite Jews. In 1983, Levi began singing in Israeli clubs when Haim Moshe and Zohar Argov were at their peak. Moses Ben- Mosh, a guitarist, discovered him.

Levi released his first album, Hafla with Ben Mohes, in 1986. He was a huge hit in Israel’s clubs. He released his first song on the album Ine Ba Ha’yom (Here Comes the Day).
