Yim started playing on the LPGA Tour in 2005. She won the Florida Natural Charity Championship in April 2006. Yim was paired with Annika Sorenstam to play the final round. She kept up with the #1 female golfer in the world. With both golfers tied at the top, on the 71st hole, Sorenstam missed her tee shot and made a double bogey. Yim won the tournament by two strokes.
