Yi Siling is one of the most popular and richest Sport Shooter who was born on May 6, 1989 in Chaozhou, China. Yi Siling, Chinese: Yi Si Ling; pinyin Yi Siling; born May 6, 1989, Guiyang (Hunan), is a Chinese female sports shooter who specializes in the 10 meter air rifle events. She is also the gold medalists at the 2012 Olympics, 2010 World Championships, and 2010 Asian Games. Yi began shooting in 2007 and made her international debut at the 2009 World Championships. She won the World Championships in the 10 m air rifle event and was the first to qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics. She won the 10m air rifle event at the Olympics and was awarded the first gold medal.

Yi stated that she would take a vacation after the 2012 Olympics and spend more time with her family. She said, “I’ve been away from my family for over a year now and I miss them a lot.”

Including her Olympic win, Yi has won ten medals and made the finals 13 times in 16 career events. She planned to try to defend her gold at the next Olympics, but at the 2016 Olympics, she was only able to take home the bronze, with a score of 185.4 in the final.

Yi finished second in the Asian Championships 2010 10 m air rifle category with a score 501.1. She won the event in 2012 with a score 502.2.

Yi Siling was born in Guiyang County Hunan, Guangzhou County Air Force China. She began shooting in 2007 and made her international debut with the camera in 2009.

Yi took silver in the Asian Championships 2009 with a score 502.9. With a score 504.9, she won the Asian Games event in the 10m air rifle the following year. She was also diagnosed with kidney stones before the World Championships and required surgery. With a score 505.6, she made a complete recovery and was first at the World Championships. She also set a new world record, becoming the first person to qualify in 2012 Summer Olympics.

In Olympic competition she scored 399 out of a possible 400 in the preliminary round, tying for first place with Sylwia Bogacka. In the finals at the Royal Artillery Barracks, she turned in a score of 10+ on every shot, while Bogacka had a costly 9.7 on shot eight of ten. Thus, Yi out shot Sylwia Bogacka 103.9 to 103.2 in the finals to win the first gold medal of the 2012 Summer Olympics with a total score of 502.9. Of her victory, Yi commented “My stability help me a lot today and at the same time I think I’m quite lucky”.
