Yasniel Toledo is one of the most popular and richest Boxer who was born on September 15, 1989 in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Yasnier Toledo Lopez, a Cuban amateur boxer who was born 15 September 1989 in Camaguey, won the bronze medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics as well as the PanAm lightweight title. He is a southpaw.
In 2009, Toledo was promoted to featherweight. He lost the national final against Ivan Onate. From 2010 to 2015, Toledo won the Cuban nationals at his division.
At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he beat Liu Qiang and Gani Zhaylauov before losing his semifinal match to Lomachenko. Through his performance Toledo won a bronze medal.
At the 2013 World Championships, he competed as a light welterweight, winning the silver medal, losing in the final to Merey Ashkalov. He won bronze in the same division at the 2015 World Championships. At the 2016 Olympics, he beat Pat McCormack before losing to eventual silver medalist Lorenzo Sotomayor.
When Rigondeaux was removed by authorities in 2008, Toledo was defeated at the Cuban national championships by Leon. Leon was therefore selected as the representative of Cuba in the 54-kg division.
