Yang Kun (Chinese: Yang Kun ; pinyin: Yang Kun ; born 18 December 1972) is a Chinese singer-songwriter. He was a judge on the TV talent show The Voice of China’s first and third seasons. He was a judge for the first season on Sing My Song, and was also a contestant on Singer 2019, finishing fourth.

Yang Kun’s third album, 2008, was released in 2005. The album was Pop-Rock in style similar to his previous albums, but the singer used ethnic instruments and sang from Inner Mongolia, where he was born. Despite the success of his album and concerts, the singer wasn’t happy enough with his record company. This fact coincided with many personal issues in the life of the performer. He suffered from depression.

In 2012, Yang Kun released a new album with the title of I Really Care and took part in the crime thriller movie Lethal Hostage, where he played a drug smuggler.

In 2013, he became the host of The Most Beautiful Harmony in the 1st season and two years later became a coach of the show in season 3.

Yang began expanding his reach to other entertainment areas in 2004 when he was first cast as an actor in 13 Months, an indie film that wasn’t very successful. This film was never released due to unknown reasons. Despite this, his popularity continued to rise and he was once again awarded in the Eastern Billboard Awards in the category Most popular Mainland Chinese Male Singer.

Yang Kun joined the Baotou Steel Company’s art troupe in 1989. Yang Kun moved to Beijing in 1993 to begin his musical career. Beijing Culture Development signed Yang a contract. He released Indifferent, his first album. Yang Kun recorded Hui Bu Hui, the theme song for Lost in Panic Cruise.
