Yang Bo (simplified Chinese: Yang Bo ; traditional Chinese: Yang Bo ; pinyin: Yang Bo ; born July 8, 1973 in Ningbo, Zhejiang) is a Chinese gymnast. She is widely considered to be one of the best balance beam gymnasts, and she invented the move “Yang Bo”, which is rated as an element D in the Code of Points. Yang is well-known for her beam work, but she often had trouble landing her dismounts, which kept her from winning medals at major competitions. At the 1992 Summer Olympics she placed 25th in all-around and 7th in beam. She won the 1990 World Cup Finals on Balance Beam, and she won the bronze medal along with her team at 1989 World Championship.

Yang retired from gymnastics and began her university studies for journalism. Yang entered the show business in 1993 and was seen on TV in singing and acting roles in 2000s.

Yang was a member of the Chinese 1992 Summer Olympic Team. The Chinese team finished 4th. After a fall on bars, she was 13th in all-around. She qualified 6th in the balance beam finals. However, she fell during her layout series. However, she was able to land her dismount. With a 9.300 score, she placed 7th in the event. Along with Shannon Miller, an American gymnast, Lu Li was her teammate and won the silver medal.
