Rolet, KBE (born December 12, 1959) is a French businessman who is also his chief executive office (CEO) for CQS. He was the Chief Executive Officer of the London Stock Exchange Group. He was featured in the Harvard Business Review’s List of the Best 100 CEOs across the World and is often a presenter at corporate conferences. Rolet is a proponent of encouraging start-ups to succeed and for the financing of SMEs to encourage creativity and create jobs.

He was appointed Echansonnier in December 2015. received the title of Echansonnier “A Camera Paramenti ” in the Echansonnerie de Chateauneuf-du- Pape. He was appointed an Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour of France in January of 2016. In the year 2016, Rolet was listed by the UK- based company Richtopia on the list of the 500 most influential CEOs around the globe.

Rolet is a native of Aix-les-Bains, France. He is the oldest from three kids born to parents who were military. His childhood was lived in Algeria in Algeria and France. After finishing KEDGE Business School in 1981, he went on to graduate from KEDGE Business School with an MSc in finance and management at the age of 21, he worked as an officer of the second class as well as an instructor in the French Air Force Academy, received his MBA at Columbia Business School in 1984 as well as a post-graduate certificate from the Paris- based IHEDN (Institute for Advanced Studies in the National Defense) in April of 2008.

From 1984 to 1994, Rolet worked at Goldman Sachs in New York and London. While at Goldman the firm, he began as an international arbitrage agent located in New York. He then was recruited by Credit Suisse First Boston as the Global Director for European Equities in 1994, being there until the year 1996. Following this, Rolet worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson from 1997 to 2000 as the Global Director for Risk and Trading.

In October 2015, LSE Group launched Curve Global, a new Futures Exchange co- owned with Barclays Bank, Bank of America, Citi, Goldman, Sachs, Societe Generale, BNP Paribas and the Chicago Board Options Exchange. In March 2016, the company announced it had reached an agreement with Deutsche Boerse AG to merge. The merger attempt was blocked by EU Regulator stating “The Commission’s investigation concluded the merger would have created a de facto monopoly in the markets for clearing fixed income instruments”.
