Wu Han is a controlling part of recording including selecting the recording venues and repertoire to setting the tone, running the sessions, making edits, and then deciding what the mix will be. Wu Han began her musical studies in Taipei, Taiwan at the age of nine. In addition to piano, she also studied another two Chinese instruments, the viola and the percussion. When she was twelve, Wu Han was playing concerts as well as competing and winning in competitions. In a short time she had won the top prizes in the major Taiwan competitions. At the request by The Hartt School in Connecticut the school invited her into America for the first time in 1981. pursue her studies, completing the double major of violin and piano. Wu Han and David Finckel frequently perform in all the major chamber music festivals across the United States, as well as throughout Europe as well as Asia. They also regularly appear as a trio together with the violinist Philip Setzer, clarinetist David Shifrin as well as in an ensemble of piano players with the violinist Daniel Hope and violist Paul Neubauer.
