Willie Aikens is one of the most popular and richest Baseball Player who was born on October 14, 1954 in Seneca, South Carolina, United States. Willie Mays Aikens (born October 14 1954) is an ex- Major League Baseball first baseman. He was one of the best players in the game prior to when drugs destroyed his career. The year 1994 was the time Aikens got 20 years of prison time on four charges of distribution of crack cocaine and one count of the use of a firearm for trafficking in drugs. The sentence was lifted on the 4th of June in 2008 following changes to federal drug laws. Aikens struck two homers in the Game 1 (his 26th birthday) and Game 4 of the 1980 World Series. Aikens back to his usual slugging style in 1978, hitting .326 which included 29 home runs as well as 110 hits batted into for the Pacific Coast League’s Salt Lake City Gulls. He made his return to the majors in 1979, taking over DH duties and substituting Rod Carew at first base during June and July, as the future Hall of Hall Of Famer was suffering from an injury to his thumb. He hit .280 With 21 RBIs, 81 home runs and 21 RBIs during his debut season. In the winter of 2009, he and Rance Mulliniks went to the Kansas City Royals for Al Cowens, Todd Cruz and another player to be named in the future.

Aikens was born into living in poverty within his home in the Bruce Hill community of Seneca, South Carolina. He was an outstanding athlete in football, baseball and basketball games at Seneca High School, and was a student at the historically african-American South Carolina State University on an athletic and baseball scholarship. In the year S.C. State dropped baseball following Aikens freshman year, Willie McNeil, Aikens high school’s baseball coach helped him to get started by introducing him to a semi-pro summer ball league that was based located in Baltimore, Maryland. When playing baseball in Baltimore Aikens caught the attention of California Angels scout Walter Youse and was chosen for the Angels with the second overall selection at the time of the Jan. 25, 1975 MLB draft.
Aikens was soon recognized as among the best sluggers within the California farm system, hitting 30 home runs while scoring 117 runs for the El Paso Diablos in 1976. He was a rookie in the Angels in 1977. However after hitting a mediocre .230 with just one home run typically as a pinch hitter as a designated hitter sent to minor leagues. He was then called back to the majors in September, but did worse, registering only four hits over 30 games.
Aikens inherited the first base job upon his arrival in Kansas City despite not being a very good fielder (he committed a league-leading 12 errors in 1980). Recovering from knee surgery, he got off to a slow start but hit well in the second half of the season. He finished second to George Brett on his team in both home runs and RBIs with 20 and 98, respectively. The Royals won their division by 14 games to face the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series for the third time in four years. After having come up short in 1976, 1977 and 1978, the Royals swept the Yankees in three games in the 1980 American League Championship Series to face the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series.

On January 28 and February 23 of 1994, Locke returned to Aikens’ home and arranged to buy more crack. On each occasion, Aikens called a supplier and had Locke accompany him while he obtained powder cocaine.
