Buxton participated of this year’s Florida Winter Series, racing in a vehicle reserved for journalists as well as the future Formula 1 drivers Max Verstappen, Lance Stroll and Nicolas Latifi.

Buxton returned to Formula 1 in an official capacity in 2018, becoming Formula One Group’s first Digital Presenter. He hosts a number of features on their official YouTube channel, including Paddock Pass, a feature he carried over from NBC.

In 2010 Buxton was recruited by Speed Motorsports Channel, an online motorsports channel operated by Fox Sports, as Formula 1 pit-lane reporter. However, they lost their rights to broadcast F1 in the year 2012. In 2013 the rights to broadcast Formula 1 went to NBC Sports which is where Buxton was able to resume his job as pit-lane reporter in addition to later joining the broadcast team of NBC for Indycar races until the end of 2017.
