Wayde Twomey is one of the most popular and richest Australian Rules Footballer who was born on January 21, 1986 in Victoria, Australia. Wayde Twomey (born 21 January, 1986) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Twomey was selected as a new player by the Carlton Football Club with its third-round selection in 2011’s AFL Draft for rookies (#51 overall). He was awarded a guernsey number of 39. Twomey was a regular player throughout the season for Carlton’s VFL affiliated The Northern Bullants, but was promoted to the senior roster and played in two matches for Carlton during the season and made his first appearance at the end of round 17, Richard Pratt Cup match against Collingwood. After the end in the 2010 Australian Football League season, Twomey was removed from The Carlton Football Club.

After 2008 Twomey made the move in 2008 to Western Australia and joined The Swan Districts Football Club. After a three-year run of success at Bassendean Twomey was a part of 60 senior games, mostly as a rebounding defensive defender, and occasionally a midfielder. He was ranked in the top 5 of the Swans best and fairest throughout his three seasons at the club. He also was part of the Swans Premiership team of 2010 which played a crucial role in the historic one-point win against Claremont at the time of the WAFL Grand Final.

Twomey was born within Tarneit, Victoria. He played in junior football for The Hoppers Crossing Football Club, and also played TAC Cup football with the Western Jets in 2003 and 2004. He was nominated to his place in the 2004 AFL National Draft, but wasn’t selected.

After that, Twomey earned his primary salary in the field of electrical engineering. In the meantime Twomey joined with the Werribee Football Club in the Victorian Football League, where he was the reserve’s best and fairest player in 2005. He made his debut as a senior with the Tigers in the year 2006 and remained with them until 2007. In the absence of being selected for the Tigers He played for the Port Melbourne Colts in the Western Region Football League.

Twomey returned to Western Australia to play for Swan Districts from 2012, and in 2013, Twomey again finished third in the best and fairest, and won the Simpson Medal as best on ground for the WAFL representative team in its victory against the VFL, kicking five goals in the match. In 2014, he crossed to the Subiaco Football Club, where he was part of the 2014 and 2015 premiership teams and finished third in the 2014 best and fairest. Twomey remains at Subiaco as of 2017.
