Wang Dalei is one of the most popular and richest Chinese footballer who was born on January 10, 1989 in Dalian, Liaoning, China. Wang Dalei (Chinese: Wang Da Lei Pinyin: Wang Dalei ; born 10 January 1989) is a Chinese footballer currently playing in the Chinese Super League with Shandong Luneng in the Chinese Super League.
Wang was first called up in his Chinese nation’s team back in May 2006 , for their international friendlies with Switzerland in addition to France. Wang made his debut for Chinese nationals six months later on the 6th of September 2012 in a 1-1 defeat to Sweden and was named the man of the match following an outstanding performance.
The next year saw Shanghai United merge with Shanghai Shenhua and Shanghai Shenhua, which led to Wang being forced to fight for his place as the primary goalie for the much larger team. However, towards the end of the 2007 season Premier League side Manchester City chose to offer Wang a chance to try out alongside a few different Shanghai players. Even though nothing emerged from the trial, Wang’s performance greatly improved after a disastrous 2007 season. He also became the primary goalie for the following season when the club managed to only narrowly miss winning the title of league champion. In the time between league breaks, Wang would once again be a participant in another trial but this time with Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven; however, because of this trials, Wang missed out on the team’s preseason, and was forced to give up his starting position in favour of Qiu Shengjiong. After the arrival of manager Miroslav Blazevic during 2010. the season of 2010, Wang would once again be named the first goalkeeper for the club but his commitment with China’s Chinese Under-23 National Team meant that he was unable to play for most of the season.

Wang became famous as a member of China’s Chinese U-17 team which took home the 2004 AFC U-17 Championship while Wang also won a number of games as part of his Chinese under-23 national side in prepping for 2008’s Summer Olympics but Wang was eventually removed from the final team due to losing his spot with Qiu Shengjiong. However, Wang won his place back in the team just prior to the 2010 Asian Games; however, following the game against Japan in which the under-23 team fell 3-0 and in a match that resulted in Wang heavily criticized because of his performances, Wang wrote in his blog “It would be flattery to call you fans. You’re just a bunch of dogs. You bunch of morons are the main reason why Chinese football can’t make progress. You throw in stones after a man has fallen into a well.” The comments could see him removed from the team, after apologising.
Although he was only 17 year old Wang Dalei started his football career with Shanghai United, making his debut on the 11th March of 2006, in a draw of 1-1 in a 1-1 draw against Inter Xian which made him the youngest goalie professional to be a goalie in Chinese the history of football. He soon made an impact within the team after making himself their primary goalkeeper. This led to Serie A side Internazionale interested in him and invite him to join their training in the summer time. Wang was then back in Shanghai where was the club’s goalkeeper in the first team and played 22 games in his first season at the conclusion of 2006 and receiving the Chinese Football Association Young Player of the Year prize.
After a stellar 2013 season, Wang transferred to fellow Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng on 1 January 2014. He made his debut for the club on 7 March 2014 in a 1-0 win against Harbin Yiteng. He won the 2014 Chinese FA Cup with Shandong and was awarded with the Chinese Football Association Goalkeeper of The Year award in November 2014.
