She was invited to speak in the International Congress of Mathematicians in 2014, addressing the session of “Dynamical Systems and Ordinary Differential Equations”. Baladi was given her CNRS Silver Medal in 2019.
She is the writer of the work Positive Transfer Operators and the Decay of Co- Relation (Advanced series in Nonlinear Dynamics 16, World Scientific 2000) and Dynamical Zeta Functions as well as Dynamical Determinants in Hyperbolic Maps Functional Methodology (Ergebnisse of Mathematical Science and their Grenzengebiete, 68 Springer 2018, 2018).

Baladi obtained graduate degrees in mathematics as well as computers in 1986 at her home at the University of Geneva. She then stayed in Geneva to pursue her doctoral studies in 1989, completing her Ph.D. in 1989 under the direction of Jean-Pierre Eckmann. She wrote her dissertation on the zeta function in dynamical systems.
She was employed at CNRS starting in 1990 after which she took a leave absence from 1993 until 1999, when she was a professor in ETH Zurich and the University of Geneva. She also served as professor in the University of Copenhagen in 2012-2013.
