Vitaly Gurkov is one of the most popular and richest Boxer who was born on March 27, 1985 in Minsk, Belarus. Vitaly Hurkou (Belarusian: Vital Rygoravich Gurkou born on 27 March 1985) is a Belarusian welterweight Muay Thai kickboxer who fights in Minsk with Patriot Gym. He is a seven-time amateur Muay Thai world champion. He holds the title of K-1 World MAX 2010 East Europe champion who is currently participating within K-1 MAX. The rock group Brutto is a singer. Brutto.

In 2010 Gurkov was a star on the professional circuit during the K-1 World MAX 2010 East Europe Tournament on 19 March on the 19th of March in Minsk, Belarus. He beat his two opponents via decision, before he faced Zamin Guseynov of Azerbaijan at the end of the tournament. In the end, after three rounds Gurkov won the title of K-1 World MAX 2010 East Europe champion, defeating his opponent in a unanimous vote. This win meant Gurkov was able to participate in the world’s most prestigious event in kickboxing at the upcoming K-1 World MAX 2010 Final 16. In the finals, Gurkov was handed the most difficult draw and had to fight the reigning K-1 champ Giorgio Petrosyan in Seoul. Three rounds later, Vitaly was unable to make an impact. His K-1 MAX dream finished by the unanimous decision of defeat. Then, a few weeks later Vitaly was eliminated from another tournament with a high profile by Petchmankong Petchfocus at the end of round two in the Izuzu Thai Fight Muay Thai contest.

He then beat Antero Hynynen in the tournament semi-finals in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on November 25, 2012.

In 2008, Vitaly was a participant in his 4th Busan TAFISA World Games at Busan, South Korea which held the 2008 I.F.M.A. World Championship. He made it to the final but was forced to settle with silver after losing the final match against his fellow Ukrainian Petr Nakonechnyi. He returned to the scene with a vengeance in 2009, taking home his first title in 2009. I.F.M.A. European Championship and the 2009 I.F.M.A. World Championship. In the world championship Vitaly beat Marcus Oberg in the quarter finals. He then repaid his losses at Nakonechnyi in the semi-finals and winning the gold medal. At the I.F.M.A. world championships in the year 2010, Vitaly was able to make it to the final , but fell in the final match for gold however, he did win gold earlier during the year at the I.F.M.A. European Championships in Italy. As of his amateur career , he has nine medals from World Championships (seven gold 2 silver) and three golds from European championships ranging from 61kg until his current weight of 71 kilograms.
