Virginie Boutaud is one of the most popular and richest Actor who was born on February 27, 1963 in São Paulo, Brazil. Boutaud was born in Sao Paulo on February 27 1963 to French immigrants. As a teenager she studied at the Lycee Pasteur, a school for French Brazilians, where she met Alec Haiat, Yann Laouenan, Daniel “Dany” Roland, Marcel Zimberg and Xavier Leblanc; with them she founded, in 1978, the experimental/progressive rock band A Gota Suspensa. After releasing their self-titled album in 1983, the band decided to change their direction towards a more accessible and accessible new wave sound that was influenced by Blondie, Laurie Anderson and Rita Lee, among others and, the following year they changed their name to Metro. The first single they released under the name Metro came with the hit single “Beat Acelerado”, via Epic Records.

In 1988, the year that Metro was first disbanded Virginie played as an additional musician for comedy rock band Joao Penca and Seus Miquinhos’ third album called Alem da Alienacao which featured one song “Sem Ilusoes”. She also co-founded the band that was short-lived by Virginie & Fruto Proibido alongside Don Beto (guitar), Nilton Leonardi (bass) and Albino Infantozzi (drums) The band’s sole release was the album Crime Perfeito. It was not a success commercially and not as well received as the previous albums she had with Metro however, the song “Mas Companhias” would be featured on the soundtrack of the television show Fera Radical. Fruto Proibido would share the on stage with Itamar Assumpcao (who had previously collaborated with them on the track for their album, “Que Tal o Impossivel?”) along with Arrigo Barnabe. The group was disbanded in 1995. She stopped her music career and landed an employment in the French consulate in Brazil and got married to her husband diplomat Jean-Michel Manent. Manent had two daughters: Marie-Helene as well as Melanie. In the same time, Virginie began to appear on commercials featuring BASF Magnetics and Nestle, along with other companies.

In 2002 Virginie reformed Metrô alongside Roland, Leblanc and Laouenan (Haiat decided not to return for personal reasons and involvement with other projects, while Leblanc only served as a session musician in a single recording), and released a new album, Déjà-Vu; it was Metrô’s first album of new material since A Mão de Mao, from 1987. After a series of tours around Brazil, France, Mozambique, the UK and Portugal, Metrô came to an end once more in 2004.

The band’s original line-up reunited for one night only, on November 8, 2014, for a show celebrating the 50th anniversary of the high school in which they met, the Lycée Pasteur, as well as Metrô’s 30th anniversary.

A year after their debut album Olhar that launched their fame, they experienced a number of creative differences among Virginie (who was exhausted due to their long traveling program) and her bandmates led to her leave the group. Then she moved to Paris for a time and took dancing and singing lessons after which she returned to Brazil. Before her move to France she was a part of Kid Vinil e os Herois do Brasil on their single self-titled album. This included performing vocals in addition to”Assassinato “Assassinato Anonimo”.
