Castiglia was the very first American artist to be granted an invitation to a solo show by Oscar-winning artist H.R. Giger who will be exhibiting in the H.R. Giger Museum, in Gruyeres, Switzerland. “Remedy to the Living the first solo exhibition of works of Vincent Castiglia opened at the H.R. Giger Museum Gallery on November 1st, 2008 and was closed in April 2009.
As of 2009 Vincent made album cover art in 2009 for the debut album of Triptykon in 2010, Eparistera Daimones. The group was formed by the former Hellhammer members, including Hellhammer Celtic Frost singer and guitarist Tom Gabriel Fischer. The album’s art style is an amalgamation of the work of HR Giger (cover art), Vincent Castiglia (interior art) as well as Triptykon with the title “Eparistera Daimones”, which conceptually can be seen as an artistic triptych by itself.
Recently, in 2016, Castiglia painted a custom ESP electric guitar for Gary Holt of both Slayer and Exodus. This is a fully functional piece of art that is often played onstage by Gary. The Guitar, titled, “Lucifer,” was painted exclusively in 16 viles of Gary’s own blood. Shortly thereafter, Slayer also commissioned Castiglia to paint them a poster for their farewell tour.
