Vilma Ripoll is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on April 12, 1954 in Firmat, Santa Fe, Argentina. Vilma Ana Ripoll was born Firmat, Santa Fe Province in 1954. She attended the National University of Rosario School of Medicine and was awarded the degree of nursing in 1975. While studying around 1973 Ripoll founded the Centro de Estudiantes de Enfermeria (Nursing Student Center). Ripoll assisted in organizing the relief effort for workers working at the Acindar steel factory located in Villa Constitucion whose health benefits were cut in revenge for them choosing an abolitionist shop Steward. Later, she became a member of her fellow members of the Trotskyite Socialist Workers’ Part. This resulted in her being targeted during the following Dirty War, however, and in 1977, she resigned her job at the state health department, PAMI, and sought refuge in Colombia.

She was a candidate for a seat on the Argentine Chamber of Deputies for the Province of Buenos Aires in 2005, as well as, along with veteran actor Hector Bidonde, for the Presidency in 2007, but she did not win both times.

However, she was selected into her seat in Buenos Aires City Legislature on the Socialist Workers MST (MST) campaign in 2000. She was elected again in 2003. A deal that was reached between MST with the Communist Party of Argentina resulted in her being removed from the body in December of 2004 and was replaced by Marcos Wolman.
