Ville Juhana Haapasalo (born 28 February 1972) is an Finnish screen and stage actor that has performed in Finland as well as Russia. His acting career began in 1995 after finishing his studies at St. Petersburg. The year 2003 was the time he was awarded by the State Prize of the Russian Federation for his character Veikko in the movie The Cuckoo directed by Aleksandr Rogozhkin.

While his popularity is primarily through film, he creates screenplays and performs in theaters and is a TV cinema director. He was also a part of the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications the campaign of 1998 National Features of Driving instructing Russians on Finnish driving rules. He is more well-known by the people of Russia as opposed to his home country from which he came from Finland. Recently, he hosted and appeared on a variety of travel programs that air on Finnish and Russian television.

Haapasalo’s career took a massive jump right after graduation, thanks to his role as a Russian comedy called Peculiarities from the National Hunt. However, this fame-making moment proved to be difficult for him, and he was forced to return back to Finland for work as truck driver. He was awarded the Best Actor award at the 24th Moscow International Film Festival for his part on the film made by Russians The Cuckoo.
