Vilja Toomast (born 15 August 1962, Antsla as Vilja Laanaru from 1996 to Vilja Savisaar (2010) – 2015 Vilja Savisaar Toomast) was an Estonian politician, and a former member of the European Parliament. She was previously part of Estonian Centre Party. Estonian Centre Party which she left on April 9, 2012.
As of 2006 Savisaar took part as a famous contestant on the initial season of Tantsud Tahtedega, the Estonian form that is a version of Dancing with the Stars. The professional dance partner she had was Veiko Ratas.
In June 2018, Toomast returned to Riigikogu to replace MP Eerik-Niiles Kross, who had vacated his seat.
The year 1996 was the time Vilja Laanaru was married in 1996 to Centre Party leader Edgar Savisaar; they divorced in 2009. They have a daughter. In August of 2010 she was married to the singer of opera Taimo Toomast (since 2013, a a member from the Reform Party) and changed her name to Savisaar-Toomast. In December of 2015, she declared the removal of Savisaar from her name.

From 1992 to 1995, Vilja Laanaru was a member of Riigikogu and was a member of the Independent Royalist Party of Estonia. In 1997 she joined Estonian Centre Party and has numerous times was elected Riigikogu and also worked as a member of the Tallinn city administration. She was made an MEP in the European Parliament after Edgar Savisaar abdicated his post and remained the mayor of Tallinn. She quit the Centre Party in 2012, remaining an MEP, and then joined Estonian Reform Party in June 2013. Estonian Reform Party in June 2013. She was a candidate again in 2014. European elections however, she was unsuccessful.
She has been President of the Estonian Volleyball Federation since 2007 and since November 2008, in the Executive Committee of the Estonian Olympic Committee for the next 4 years.
