Victoria Mary Boswell Prentis (born 24 March 1971) is a British Conservative politician who was first elected to the position of MEP for Banbury at the general election. She was reelected in the general election in 2017. She was the Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to junior ministers of the Department for Transport between July 2016 until June 2017. Prentis served as the Private Secretary of Parliament (PPS) in the office of Leader of the House of Commons from June 2017 until February.
Prentis has backed Theresa May’s candidature in her 2016 Conservative leadership race. She was appointed as the Parliamentary private secretary to ministers in junior positions of the Department for Transport in July 2016.
In May 2019, she endorsed candidate Rory Stewart for the leadership of the Conservative Party.
Prentis was a founding supporter of Conservatives for Reform in Europe, a group which campaigned in support of the UK’s membership of a reformed European Union. Accordingly, she declared that she would vote remain in the 2016 referendum on the UK’s membership of the EU.
On November 14, 2014 Prentis has been chosen as the Conservative campaigner for Banbury district in the general election in 2015. She was able to keep the seat of members of the Conservatives (held by the party from 1922). In Parliament , she serves as a member of the Justice Select Committee and the Select Committee on Statutory Instruments. Prentis is a staunch anti-HS2 campaigner. High Speed 2, believing that it would affect her constituents. She resisted government Conservative Government when HS2 Bill received its second reading in the House of Commons in March 2016.

Prentis is the daughter of Victoria Boswell, in Banbury She grew up on the farm of her family near Aynho. She attended Royal Holloway, University of London as well as Downing College, Cambridge, from which she holds certificates from English and Law as well as Law. While at Cambridge she was the chairman of the Cambridge University Conservative Association. The mother of her is Tim Boswell, Baron Boswell of Aynho who was the an MP for Daventry from 1987 until 2010.
