At Autosport International on 15 January 2011, Butler-Henderson’s Fifth Gear co-presenter Jason Plato announced that she would not be able to attend as she was having a baby girl. Her second child, a son, was born in 2015.
In 2016, Butler-Henderson’s fourteen year stint at Fifth Gear ended after the show was cancelled. In 2018, the programme returned on Quest with all of the original presenters (inclu. Butler-Henderson) returning.
Butler-Henderson in her later years has extended her media experience beyond racing and automobiles to become a general broadcaster. After co-hosting radio programs on Virgin Radio, in 2005 she hosted a morning TV show for ITV known as Date My Daughter in which one man is single and ‘dates’ three mothers, and they decide if they think he’s qualified enough to be able to get married to their daughter.

She was a presenter in 1997 when she was a part of the top motoring show on the BBC, Top Gear. Following the BBC pulled the series in 2001 Butler- Henderson together with co-hosts Quentin Willson and Tiff Needell was transferred into Channel 5 in 2002 to continue their work on the show that is now known as Fifth Gear. She also hosted television’s coverage of British Touring Car Championship, where her brother Charlie was a participant for a brief time in 2004; then, from February 2006, the ten-part series Wrecks to Riches was a part of Discovery Real Time.

Butler-Henderson has also acted as a celebrity endorser in her career, currently she is the face of ChipsAway, an automotive paintwork repairer.
