Vic Grimes Biography

Vic Grimes is one of the most popular and richest Wrestler who was born on January 3, 1963 in Sacramento, California, United States. Victor “Vic” Grimes (born on January 3, 1963) is a famous American professional wrestling champion. Most famous for his involvement with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), Xtreme Pro Wrestling (XPW) as well as the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).

The fight culminated in February 2002, during an unfinished match on the scaffold, and at the conclusion of the game, Jack broke from the rules and truly shocked Grimes with a taser , before throwing Grimes off the scaffold, sending him flying into the ring, 40 feet below. There were 12 tables that were stacked on top of one another to prevent the fall from happening but Grimes was unable to avoid all but two tables and was just a few feet of missing out completely. Grimes fell on the highest rope breaking his ankle, and suffering a variety of other injuries as a result. In the film Forever Hardcore, New Jack declared that his goal was in throwing Grimes so intensely that he would crash head-first into the turnbuckle made of steel and eventually die, in revenge for the now famous Danbury Fall at Living Dangerously 2000. The incident is thought to be an ‘artificial’ act by New Jack’s side because a closer look at the footage suggests that Grimes fell over the scaffolding in a surprising angle and at a higher speed than was originally planned.

After ECW’s demise, New Jack went to Xtreme Pro Wrestling, and his fight with Grimes was reignited after Grimes unexpectedly confronted New Jack from behind with guitar at Payback’s a Bitch event; New Jack was involved in a dispute over a verbal exchange between himself and XPW President Rob Black when Grimes appeared in the ring from beneath the ring and began to attack New Jack, aligning himself with Black’s group, “The Black Army”. The first episode of the newly heated feud saw the two men participating in a tag match which saw Grimes joining forces against The Messiah and New Jack aligning himself with Supreme and Supreme. During the match, New Jack was powerbombed by Grimes through a burning table which caused New Jack was on fire for more than 10 seconds. The other major incident of the battle included New Jack diving off the Los Angeles Grand Olympic Auditorium balcony, which was 30 feet high, onto two tables which had Grimes in the middle in Redemption on May 1, 2001 and Grimes tossing New Jack off the same balcony and into a pile of tables underneath during New Year’s Revolution in January 2002.

Benson sent Jim Cornette an audio recording from Grimes and O’Grady’s squabble in APW and planned an intense match prior to a recording on WWF Shotgun Saturday Night on the 20th of January in 1998. WWF officials have signed both men to contracts. Grimes was transferred to the Memphis areas of development before being introduced to the world of television under the Ring name Key. Grimes made his telecast WWF debut on July 26, 1999, episode on Raw. In the role of Key, Grimes portrayed a drug dealer along with Droz as well as Prince Albert and feuded with The Godfather. The Godfather suffered a traumatic injury at the same time the rivalry between the two was gaining momentum, resulting in Grimes being removed from TV.

When Living Dangerously in March 2000, a lapse with regards to communication among New Jack and Grimes led to both men falling off a 20-foot-high construction rig on concrete. New Jack was struck by brain damage and was permanently blind to the right side of his eye that kept him out of wrestling for months. Grimes quit ECW shortly after the incident.

He made his debut for the WSX dubbed as “Vicious” Vic Grimes on March 14, 2007 alongside Arik Cannon in a 3-on-2 handicap match against The Cartel, who Cannon had been attacked by a couple of weeks ago. However, Grimes and Cannon lost to The Cartel. Two episodes later, Cannon and Grimes competed against Luke Hawx and Al Katrazz, during which Grimes missed a spear on Katrazz and landed into some light tubes at ringside, allowing Cannon to be pinned by Katrazz. Grimes remained with the promotion until its closure.
