Volha was arrested on the 19th of July, 2011, and was accused of taking bribes and two months later, for embezzlement. He was fired by President Yanukovych from the position of the chief of the State Commission for Financial services markets on July 25 2011. Volha received five years in prison on September 24, 2012.

Volha was named the chief of the State Commission responsible for control of finance service market on the 22nd of Match 2010, by the president Yanukovych.
