Troy Corser is one of the most popular and richest Motorcycle Racer who was born on November 27, 1971 in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. Troy Gordon Corser (born 27 November 1971) is an Australian former professional road racer. Corser raced at the Superbike World Championship from 1992 until 2011 with the exception of the 1997 season , during which Corser took part with Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Corser was the winner of his Superbike World championship in 1996 as well as 2005.

In 2002, he joined his team, Carl Fogarty’s Petronas Superbike team, and was able to develop the bike prior to taking it to the races in 2003 and in 2004. He was 9th in the championship in 2004 and had the best finish of 3rd place, but he decided to quit the team following this.

Troy won two races early in 2006, however a crash at Phillip Island, and a DNF at Silverstone enabled compatriot Troy Bayliss to gain the upper hand in the early stages of the title chase. A double non-finish at Assen with 4 rounds to go left him 5th in the championship, behind Bayliss, James Toseland, Noriyuki Haga and Andrew Pitt. He ultimately overhauled Pitt to finish 4th, through a double podium at the final round.

For 2007 he left Suzuki to join Yamaha, however he was outpaced by teammate Noriyuki Haga and finished 5th overall, with eight podiums but no wins. He remained with the team for 2008, pipping Haga to finish as championship runner-up behind Bayliss.

Then, in WSBK in 1998, he was close to reclaiming the title, thanks to winning two times at Laguna and the race that followed only by 0.005sec. He was the leader of the standings prior to the final race, and took the pole, before crashing and breaking his ribs in the warm-up crash. In 1999, he raced together with Carl Fogarty on Davide Tardozzi’s team. The championship went to Foggy and Corser finishing third. In 2000 and 2001 , he was on an Aprilia factory RSV-Mille. He was able to take his Aprilia through its initial WSBK victories in 2000, and then open 2001 by winning a second time at the WSBK in South Africa, but a double DNF at Monza ended his hopes of winning a race for the championship.
