In 2018 as an OSU junior Larnach made the Pac-12 All-Conference Team. In Game 2 in the 2017 College World Series against the Arkansas Razorbacks, with Arkansas and OSU playing 3-3 at the middle of the ninth, Larnach hit a two out, two-run homer giving the Beavers an advantage of 5-3. Oregon State went on to beat Arkansas and win it was the winner of the 2017 College World Series. Larnach was selected on the All-Tournament Team. Larnach ended his junior season with an .348 batsman’s average 19 home runs with 77 RBIs.
The Minnesota Twins selected Larnach in the first round, and the 20th overall selection during the 2017 Major League Baseball draft. Larnach joined the Twins on July 5 to receive the $2.55 million bonus on signing. His professional debut was with the Elizabethton Twins of the Rookie-level Appalachian League and was promoted to the Cedar Rapids Kernels of the Class A Midwest League in August. In 42 games played between both teams, the player hit .303/.390/.500 with five RBIs and five home runs.

Larnach was a student at College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, California, and was selected in the San Diego Padres in the 40th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft. He didn’t sign to the Padres and enrolled at Oregon State University where he played baseball in college for the Beavers.
As an undergraduate in the college of Oregon State in 2016, Larnach played in 28 games and hit .157/.271/.176 With three hits (RBI) in 51 bats. As a sophomore in 2017 Larnach was in the field for 60 times, and scored .303/.421/.429 including three home runs as well as 48 RBI in 198 bats.
