Trevor Cole (born Trevor William Cole on February 15 1960) is an Canadian novelist and journalist from Canada. He has written five novels. The two novels, Norman Bray in the Performance of his Life (2004) and The Fearsome Particles (2006) were shortlisted in The Governor General’s Literary Award for Fiction and are longlisted to be shortlisted for The International Dublin Literary Award.
Prior to pursuing the world of fiction, Cole worked as a reporter, editor of magazines, and journalist for magazines. He worked for 15 years at The Globe and Mail, initially as an editor, and later for the final 2 1/2 decades, as the senior journalist at The Report On Business Magazine. Cole was let go by the Globe in the year 2000. From 2001 to 2003 Cole wrote a satirical column regarding business issues for Canadian Business.
His fourth novel, Hope Makes Love was published by Cormorant Press in fall 2015.
