Thomas Paul Pukstys (born May 28th 1968) is an ex- American athletics track and field player who also was javelin thrower. Pukstys was the six-time U.S. javelin champion, and was a representative of U.S. athletes in both the United States at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics.

For the first two years in college, Pukstys attended DuPage College. College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn and was part of the DuPage Chaparrals track and field team. In the second year of his senior year, he received an athletic scholarship that allowed him to transfer into the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he was part of the Florida Gators track and field team. The university he attended graduated him from University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in public relations in the year 1992.
