In Albrighton, Shropshire in 1993, Tom Perry began grasstrack racing at six, and he began speedway when he was 10. His grasstrack success were a part of being the winner of the British 125cc Youth Championship in 2006, finishing at the top of the podium in both the 350cc and 250cc Championships, in the year 2009 and a fourth place at the British Under-21 Championship and becoming the youngest rider to ever participate at the British Masters Championship when aged 16and finishing in fifth position.

In December 2013, he got selected from the reserve selection to be a part of the Leicester Lions in the Elite League in 2014. Tom Perry is the Current 350cc British Grasstrack Champion, 2015.

In 2012, he remained with Heathens and was also a part of the Premier League for Somerset Rebels and played in 36 games with the team. He was runner-up at the British Under-21 Speedway Championship that year.

Thomas Andrew “Tom” Perry (born 22 February 1993) is a British speedway and grasstrack rider.

In 2010, he signed with the National League speedway team Dudley Heathens and continued to be successful in grasstrack. He was the winner of the British Under-21 Championship. After a highly successful debut season in speedway, towards the end of the season the team was named the ‘rider of the year by Heathens fans. He was able to sign to the team in 2011 and won the National Shield with Heathens later the same year. In the course of the season, he was awarded an Darren and Sharon Boocock Speedway Scholarship that allowed him to travel to Australia to experience and racing experience in Queensland.

In 2013 he was retained by Somerset in the Premier League, also riding for Isle of Wight Islanders in the National League. He represented Great Britain in the Under-21 Speedway World Cup semi-final, and finished fifth in the British Under-21 Speedway Championship.
