A graduate from 2005 from Harvard University, Lowe majored in East Asian Studies, and is fluent in Mandarin as well as the other six languages. His ties to the booming Chinese market can be attributed with numerous trips to China which were often funded by the Chinese government. He was featured on numerous television shows in China as well as being interview in Mandarin by some of the most prominent Chinese TV stars.

In April – May 2009, he starred in Back to Bacharach and David at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre, Hollywood.

In 2010, he opened Vegas! The Show at the Saxe Theater, Planet Hollywood Casino and Resort Las Vegas. His CD, Back to Mine features a collection of original songs in Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, French and English.

Through during his Harvard professional career Lowe was able to continue performing original songs as the lead vocalist of the group Tommy and The Tigers. The group had the privilege of performing at CBGBs the first New York City hardcore and punk rock club in 2005. Additionally, during his time, he was chosen to sing in Harvard’s top co-ed acappella group called known as the Harvard-Radcliffe Veritones, where he was a featured tenor two years. The vocals of Lowe can be heard in their fourth studio album Imprudence. In Boston the year 2006 Lowe has been selected to represent Massachusetts and the host of the camera for a series of web-based commercials for tourism in the world under Tourism Massachusetts. He was the first non-American to perform the national anthem in the Boston Red Sox game.

Tom Lowe was born in Stockport, England to his parents, Peter and Margaret Lowe. He was raised in the town of Mellor located on the border of Stockport. He was a student at Mellor Primary School between 1982 and 1989 as well as Manchester Grammar School from 1989-1996 In his time at Manchester Grammar School, he was a part of numerous school productions. He sang in the choir of the church at St. Thomas’s Mellor during his youth and was placed as second in the UK large Choirboy of the Year competition as a chorister at the school. He also appeared on television when he was in primary school along alongside fellow Mellor pupils in the show for children called Umbrella that was shot in Manchester by BBC Manchester.
