Tom Copley (born 11 May 1985) is a British Labour Party and Co-operative Party politician who is the deputy mayor for London to oversee Housing and Residential Development. He was an London broad participant in the London Assembly between 2012 and 2020. He was a councillor for the former Lewisham Council.

Prior to his appointment as an London Assembly Member, Copley was employed by Searchlight the anti-fascist, anti-racist organization. He also served as the local organiser and agent of Camden’s Labour Party within Camden as well as on Ken Livingstone’s winning campaign to be elected the Labour candidate in London’s 2012 London mayoral election.

In January 2013 he called for an investigation into allegations of blacklisting on the Crossrail project, claiming the practice was “almost endemic” in the construction industry.

In 2016, he led a successful motion for the London Assembly to oppose the Prime Minister’s plans to reinstate 100% religiously selective schools, citing evidence that this would harm London’s community cohesion and discriminate against poorer families.

He was fourth on the Labour’s list of assembly candidates in the 2011 London Assembly election. He was elected as an assembly member across London in May 2012, after Labour won 41.1 percent of the vote. He is the youngest ever appointed into this particular London Assembly. He was elected a second time as an Londonwide Member in the year 2016, as the second contestant on the Labor’s Londonwide list. Copley was chosen again as one of the Londonwide list of candidates in next year’s London Assembly election, though Copley was not appointed to the post of Deputy Mayor and therefore was omitted from the race prior to the selection of the candidates was made.
