Titiyo is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on July 23, 1967 in Stockholm, Stockholm County, Sweden. Titiyo Yambalu Felicia Jayh (born 23rd July, 1967) is a Swedish musician and singer who has been awarded four Grammis.

The year 2001 was the time that Titiyo revived her fame by releasing her fourth studio album, Come Along (released to the US in 2002, and also released on Diesel Music), spawning the single “Come Along”, which became a global smash. The album was produced by Peter Svensson (The Cardigans) and Joakim Berg (Kent) The album and its title track was a top 10 hit of the Swedish charts, and the single became a hit across a variety of European countries, including France, (Germany), Switzerland and the Netherlands. The second track on the album “1989”, was not as popular as its predecessor , but did reach the top 30 on the French singles chart.

Titiyo released her fifth album, Hidden, on the Swedish independent label Sheriff late 2008. The album mainly feature self-penned material but also results of collaborations with the likes of Kleerup, Moto Boy, and Goran Kajfes of Oddjob. So far videos for “Stumble to Fall” and “Awakening” have been released.

In spring 2008, Titiyo was asked to contribute vocals to Kleerup’s single “Longing for Lullabies”. Released in April 2008 in Scandinavia, the single has since reached the top 20 in Denmark and top 10 in Sweden.

Titiyo was on a two-year hiatus and came back for a second time in the year

1993. She sang the Aretha Franklin-inspired cover “Never Let Me Go” (a smash that peaked at number 25 on the Swedish chart) which was later featured on her second full-length album This is Titiyo. The song was remixed and some of her other tracks were very popular in the London nightlife scene. The third album she released, Extended, produced by Kent (Gillstrom) Isaacs (released by the Swedish label Diesel Music), appeared in 1997. It was the one that produced the smash hit single “Josefin Dean” (named after Mariah Carey’s closest friend).

Titiyo discovered her singing talents when she was invited by her sister to sing alongside her in a studio located in London. She formed her own group in 1987, and also played on the Stockholm circuit. She then was signed to a local label, Telegram, in 1989. She also performed background vocals for various Swedish artists like Army of Lovers and Jakob Hellman. in 1989 Titiyo dropped her first album, self-titled, which peaked at the number. 3 in Sweden and later made available to the United States on Arista, and later became one of the main contributors to the Swedish R & B wave in the US that lasted through the nineties. The hit single “My Body Says Yes” was a smash throughout North America, and “Talking to the Man in the Moon” was a top-ranked hit at the top spot at No. 6 on the Swedish charts. The next song, “After the Rain,” made it to No. 13.

After a lengthy hiatus, Warner Music released a greatest hits album named Best of Titiyo in 2004, which included two new songs. One of these songs, “Loving out of Nothing”, charted within the top-20 in Sweden in early 2005.
