Tio Ellinas is one of the most popular and richest Race Car Driver who was born on January 27, 1992 in Larnaca, Larnaca District, Cyprus. Eftihios “Tio” Ellinas (born 27 January 1992 in Larnaca, Cyprus) is a Cypriot race car driver. Ellinas began racing go-karts around seven years of age in 2003, and between 2003 and 2009, he was the winner of 10 kart race championships in Cyprus In 2005, he was the winner of the ROK Cup International Final. He won the Grand Prix Shootout in the UK in 2009, competing against 50 other young top drivers from around the world.

In 2011 Ellinas took part for his first UK Formula Renault 2.0 championship for the Atech Reid Team. He finished third overall. Ellinas joined Marussia Manor Racing for the 2012 GP3 Series season.

On 17 June 2013, it was announced that Ellinas would carry out a scheduled straightline aerodynamic evaluation test session with the Marussia Formula One team at Kemble airfield in Gloucestershire, England. In doing so, he became the first Cypriot to drive a Formula One car. As a reward for being the highest-placed Marussia Manor driver at the end of the 2012 GP3 Series season, Ellinas took part in the 2013 Young Driver Tests with Marussia F1.

As of 2010, the driver took part for his first MSA Dunlop Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain in Great Britain in his JTR Team. He took home three wins and was with a fourth place in the competition, which is the best result for a rookie driver since Jenson Button’s win in 1998 and earned the “Rookie Of The Year” distinctions.
