Timothy Raphael Storer (born 24 October 1969) is an former Australian politician who was Senator from South Australia from February 2018 until June 2019. After the exclusion of Skye Kakoschke Moore in the parliamentary eligibility dispute in the parliamentary eligibility crisis, the Court of Disputed Returns declared Storer elected through countback. He was ranked lower than KakoschkeMoore on Nick Xenophon’s Team’s ticket during the federal election of 2016. However, when that he was elected, in the 2018 election, he had resigned from the party. He was elected to the Senate as an independent, and didn’t contest his seat until the election in 2019.

NXT Senator Skye Kakoschke-Moore quit NXT in November 2017, after she confirmed she had British citizenship. She was then victim from the dual- citizenship issue. It was the High Court of Australia held that she was not legitimately elected, but waited to announce her successor because the sole remaining candidate in the listing, Storer, had left the party. In February of 2018 following a legal challenge brought by Kakoschke-Moore , who wanted to win her seat, after she had given up her citizenship in the United States and citizenship, the High Court appointed Storer as senator.

Storer announced his retirement from politics in April 2019.

He was the 4th and last Senate Candidate during the election in South Australia at the 2016 election, which saw three NXT candidates ahead of Storer elected with two of them quitting in the latter part of 2017. After party chairman Nick Xenophon resigned in October 2017, with the intention of appointing the staffer Rex Patrick as his successor, Storer wrote to the Parliament of South Australia claiming that he had the right to fill the vacancy that was vacant. Within a week, Storer withdrew the challenge and quit the party.

2018. It did not stand any candidates in the 2019 Australian federal election, as Storer had announced his intention to retire from politics.
