Graham began his television career as a researcher on the ITV program Number 73 (1983-1984) and was made its music director (1985). He appeared on two episodes from Tyne Tees’ The Tube and then became a presenter for channel 4’s award-winning BAFTA show Wired (1988) which he co-hosted with artists such as Elton John, Miles Davis, Paul Weller, Nina Simone, Johnny Cash, Al Green and Iggy Pop.
In early 2001 Tim got promoted as the Deputy Managing Director of The LWT’s digital division The Lab – having formed The Lab’s first team as the Head of Development. Tim was the head of shows such as The End of the Week Show which was a discussion show featuring Mariella Frostrup, and also created the first season of ITV’s The Borough, which was given a special award from the ITC.
In LWT, Graham executive-produced shows like Gordon Ramsay’s Beyond Boiling Point (2000) after he had produced the chef’s first television show Boiling Point (1999) and the pilot episode that aired on Channel 4.
