Vitali Schulz organised a tryout for Dieck as well as Katharina Muller. They joined forces in April 2014 and were coached by Schulz and James Young in Dortmund. They were assigned to two 2014-15 ISU Junior Grand Prix events where they finished 8th overall in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and 7th in Aichi, Japan. In 2015, after winning the German championship for juniors they were invited to compete in at the World Junior Championships in Tallinn, Estonia; ranked 13th in the short dancing, they qualified for the last section and placed 12th overall.
In spring 2016, Müller/Dieck began training under Marina Zueva in Canton, Michigan, in addition to Schulz and Young in Dortmund.
From 2012 to 2013, Dieck started competing alongside Florence Clarke. They finished 5th at the 2013 German Junior Championships. Following that they competed in the ISU Junior Grand Prix series which saw them finish 9th overall in Riga, Latvia and 15th in Gdansk, Poland. They also were selected to at the 2013 World Junior Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, but were eliminated following their 27th place for the short dancing. Clarke chose to retire at the close of the season.

Tim Dieck (born 7 April 1996) is a German professional ice dancer. Alongside his skating partner Katharina Muller, he’s the his 2020 German national champion. He also has been awarded seven international senior championships which include gold in the 2018 and 2016 NRW Trophy and silver at the 2016 International Cup of Nice. They finished 12th in this year’s World Junior Championships.
Dieck began skating in the year 2000 before he began dancing on ice in the year the year 2011. He skated together with Dana Wehner in the 2011-12 season. They were 9th in the 2011 German Junior Championships.
Competing in the Challenger Series (CS), Müller/Dieck finished tenth in September at the 2015 Nebelhorn Trophy – their first senior international – and eighth the following month at the 2015 Mordovian Ornament. In November, they won bronze at the 2015 NRW Trophy before appearing at their third CS event, the 2015 Tallinn Trophy, where they placed fifth. They were awarded the silver medal at the German Championships in December, having finished second to Kavita Lorenz / Panagiotis Polizoakis, and took bronze at the Toruń Cup. Müller/Dieck were included in Germany’s team to the 2016 European Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, but were eliminated after placing 23rd in the short dance.
