In May of 2015 Malcom was added to Marlin Chinn’s team at FIU as an assistant coach. After Chinn’s suspension over sexual conduct towards players, Malcom became acting head coach for the last two regular season games as well as the C-USA Tournament. Malcom had a 1-4 record as the acting coach, only one win coming in the opening game of the C-USA Tournament, 61-57 over UTSA.
Malcom was back at his home at the University of Delaware in 2006 to join the coaching staff within Martin’s coaching staff. Over the course of nine seasons in the role of assistant coach Malcom assisted in helping Delaware achieve a record of 36-0 in CAA play during the years 2011-12 and 2012-13 all. The team was coached by the future WNBA Player of the Year Elena Delle Donne. As an the assistant coach Malcom obtained a Master’s Degree in educational administration at Delaware in 2011.

After having graduated from Caravel Academy in Bear, Delaware in 2001, Malcom attended the University of Delaware and played guard with the Delaware Fightin Blue Hens for four years under the head coach Tina Martin. As an junior, Malcom had three captains of the team. Malcom was averaging 16.4 scores and 6.7 rebound during her senior season in 2004-05. She also helped Delaware reach the WNIT.
