Thomson has been trained for a brief time with Hindustani classic singing with The Gwalior gharana.

Thomson released his debut single, “People Ain’t Things,” in April of 2014 in collaborative effort with Grammy-winning sound mixologist Reuben Cohen (Hollywood) and Deepak Palikonda. The track received a lot of airplay in MTV Indies, VH1 India, 9XO, and Radio One (India).

In 2015, Thomson, as RaagaTrippin, hosted the red carpet event at the Radio Mirchi Music Awards 2015 and also performed at the Global Indian Music Academy Awards 2015 with music director Pritam Chakraborty. Thomson’s interest in music started when he performed in school competitions. Being Thomson was a Roman Catholic, he also sang in the choir of his church.
