Thomas Youngblood is one of the most popular and richest Guitarist who was born on May 29, 1974 in Tampa, United States. Thomas Youngblood (born May 29 1974) is a American metal musician, guitarist and founder of the symphonic metal group Kamelot currently residing in Tampa, Florida, USA.

Kamelot began their journey together with German record label Noise Records. They released 6 albums by the label. Following the release Epica in 2003, they began working with Steamhammer/SPV. They recorded The Black Halo (2005) and Ghost Opera (2007), after which they switched from SPV to Edel Music for the release of Poetry for the Poisoned (2010) The band resurfaced with SPV for a third release, Silverthorn (2012). The band is currently contracted for a new album with Napalm Records, Universal, the ADA/Warner label as well as King Records (Japan) and released their album Haven in the year 2015.

In 2003 another collaboration between Ian Parry and Thomas Youngblood came to fruit. They recorded the song “Flight of Icarus” for the Iron Maiden tribute double album Slave to the Power.

In 2003 Youngblood was invited to play guitars on the metal opera Days of Rising Doom by supergroup Aina, a project of Amanda Sommerville, Sascha Paeth, Robert Hunecke-Rizzo and Michael Rodenberg.

Thomas Youngblood was the main Kamelot’s composer from 1994 until 1998. He was working on vocalist Roy Khan from 1998 to the year 2010. In 2010, when Roy Khan was forced to quit the group, Tommy Karevik (Seventh Wonder) was chosen to be the new vocalist. The new writing/composing team for the band consists consisting of Thomas Youngblood Oliver Palotai (keyboards), Sascha Paeth (producer) and Tommy Karevik (vocals). In Kamelot live performances Youngblood sings the backing vocals, as well as hard voice (“March of Mephisto”) in the event of need. The track “Don’t You Cry” is dedicated to his father, and “Hunter’s Season” to his mother.
