Terry Lin (Chinese: Lin Zhi Xuan; pinyin: Lin Zhixuan ; born 6 July 1966) is a Taiwanese artist. He was nominated for the Golden Melody Awards 5 times for the Best Mandarin Male Singer. He is well-known for his elegant and clear androgynous voice. He uses different resonances within his head, allowing him to mix his head voice with falsetto, which allows him to effortlessly transition into the higher ranges and keep the volume and power despite his small body. He has a range of 3 octaves. However, he was stretched an octave while performing Opera an instrumental that was rearranged by Vitas which where he claimed he was unable to practice (including singing) more than four times per day. The singer later became one of the very first Taiwanese musician to release an album in one take as well as One Take Live, with no editing.

Lin was raised in Keelung, Taiwan, and is the oldest of three He first started playing Ukulele along with Lee Chi at university in 1991. The band gained a lot of recognition in Taiwan in Taiwan and Hong Kong with “Apologize” in 1992. The band recorded four Mandarin albums, two English cover albums, and one compilation before breaking up in. Lin left the band in 1995 and was signed by Sony Music before setting up his own agency in 1997. The year 2018 saw him sang Mo dao sushi’s opening track “Drunken dreams of a past life”.
In February 2017, Lin returned as a returning singer of the fifth season of I Am a Singer, which was renamed to Singer on that same season. He once again made it to the grand finals, this time finishing in fifth place.
